Description

The Pour speaks a language every culture understands. From above, a pair of hands wrings fresh sugarcane  raw, earthy, abundant  and from it flows a stream of green, life-giving juice that descends into the outstretched cups of many eager hands below. It is an act so ordinary, and yet here, elevated to the profound.

This is a painting about parents. About the quiet, relentless act of squeezing every last drop of themselves  their time, their labour, their dreams deferred  so that their children may drink fully from life. There is no grandiose gesture here, no crown or throne. Just hands. Just the pour. And in that simplicity lies everything.

The artist’s technical command is remarkable. The hands are rendered with extraordinary realism knuckles, rings, bracelets, the particular grip of someone who has worked hard and long. The sugarcane juice glows luminous green against the clean white background, threading the composition together like a ribbon of hope. The clustered cups and intertwined arms below evoke community, shared destiny, and the beautiful chaos of a family reaching upward together.

The Pour is a conversation piece of rare emotional depth  at once intimate and universal, humble and heroic. An essential acquisition for collectors drawn to figurative works that carry the full weight of the human experience.
